Oxford prints "senatui." Here Tacitus switches to o.o. after "orditur" to express the thoughts of Epicharis: lit., "nor was there anything left to the senate," perhaps meaning the senate was not inclined to do anything about Nero. Remarkable thoughts from a freedwoman.
