... Troiana labaret: "nate dea, si nota satis praesagia nostrae...

the whole line: si nota satis (..) te sospite Troia.' makes a conditional period. What is the meaning of this line? It is a brainbreaker, when you want to understand it. Let's try. First the protasis: si nota satis praesagia nostrae mentis habes: (something like: ) 'if you hold for truth my prophecy'-; then the apodosis: 'non tota cadet te sospite Troia' = then Troy will not completely fall and you will be saved. - Thus, 'If you believe my words, Troy and you will be saved eventually.' (?) Troy was not saved and depends this all on believing the prophecies of Helenus(?) Anyway, I propose to understand Rome for Troia. That seems to make sense, since in this vss Pythagoras/Ovid connect Troy and Rome closely.
