'quem': I have been thinking/searching for some half hour to find a solution here, but without result. The whole line goes like this: 'ille impius - parat se - humano cruori - = that wicked one - prepares himself - for human blood - ; no problem here, common, everyday latin; but what to do with the relative pronoun 'quem'? I can't see it. Perhaps somebody else has a solution. I found here another text-tradition having 'quam' instead of 'quem'. Hmmm? A wonder, if that is correct. Anyway, perhaps I have a blind spot here. If you know the solution, let me know.
