"as much of boldness daring"/"any (of) daring"; Furnaux's explains the genitive after "habuisset" as "a Graecism." This is doubly difficult. Greek can pattern a partitive genitive with adverbs, in a phrase such as "as much of boldness"; here, Tacitus implies/omits the adv.; the grammatical term is "brachylogy," conciseness of expression.
